School has returned after the Easter break with a sense of purpose and lots going on.

Years 11 and 13 are focused on examination preparation with some practical elements having already started for the former and the latter set well after their week in the Lake District. We cannot fault the application and commitment of both cohorts to their studies and this bodes well for the weeks to come.

It’s been a week where we have had two of the highlights of our expressive arts calendar – the Spring Concert and the Spotlight Dance Show. Both were simply brilliant evenings brimming with talent and creativity with eclectic choices, innovative arrangements and a wonderful sense of verve running though them. Very well done indeed to all who took to the stage and thankyou as always to our staff for their support for them.

The momentum continues next week with Year 10 students on their Work Experience placements, Year 11 Leavers’ Day and Prom, a STARS trip to Silverstone and the Hustings for next year’s Student Leadership Team amongst a great many other things. It’s always busy and that is what we love about the life of our school.
