It has been a very chilly January return to school but it has been great to have everyone back. I have led assemblies about New Year’s resolutions but also the whole experience of a “new year” and what it brings. As ever with assemblies, I won’t add anymore apart from the fact that it featured Julius Caesar, Pope Gregory XIII, some druids and fireworks.
The “busyness” of term has already started with Year 12 Geographers in a snowy Birmingham this week, vocational exams taking place and rehearsals really now ramping up for our whole school production of Legally Blonde in the last week of the month, which may feature the largest cast we have ever had in a school production!
And, of course, it will be a very busy term of House activities with a lot coming up. The current scores were announced to great excitement in the final whole school assembly of last term and everything is to play for in the coming weeks and months.
