How many of us can say that they’ve met a man who has designed a STAR WARS spaceship? A whole scene on Tatooine? A lightsabre? AN ACTUAL LIGHTSABRE USED IN STAR WARS FILMS!?!?!

That’s exactly what happened - to about a lucky hundred of us - when the Art Department was visited by Star Wars Concept artist extraordinaire, Vincent Jenkins!

Mr Jenkins was kind enough to give his awe-struck audience a glimpse into the career and world of a man who has been instrumental in designing the iconic worlds, people, spaceships and objects of our beloved STAR WARS universe. He spoke with passion about his amazing work, some of which you can see here.

It might have been a tight squeeze, but the hundred or so pupils crammed into the Art room will never forget this experience. Just in the same way that Vincent will never forget being an actual Stormtrooper in ‘Rogue One’! We cannot thank you enough, Mr Jenkins!
