It’s been a busy year in the life of Wallingford School – but then it is always a busy year. As a school community we thrive on the energy and the buzz, the participation and the competition, the hard work and the creativity, the new learning and the knowledge gained – it all adds to the exciting, stimulating mix that is life in a busy secondary school.
Everyone will have their memories from 2024/25. It might be a great test score or a piece of coursework or a project; it might be a part in a production or concert or a try or a goal in a fixture; it might be a trip or visit – and there have been plenty of those; or it might be a House event, scoring points, having fun and being part of something.
We have of course had some difficult times as a school community this year and we have stuck together and supported each other, remembering well and never forgetting, and all of that has been important and moving.
And on some hot, dusty days in July we come to the end of the cycle of another academic year with the announcement of the final House standings in the whole school assembly, we wave the buses off and we all go away for a well-deserved break. Have a great summer holiday, Wallingford School.
