It has been an exciting week – well done to England and fingers crossed for Sunday! – and in school we are very much looking forward to our Enrichment Week and all of the events which are taking place next week.

We have a good range of activities which students will experience and the week provides an opportunity to do some things which are different after a long and fairly regimented school year. It is particularly pleasing that we have a number of trips and visits going out of school as these are a key part of the all-round education which we offer as a school and we look forward to being able to offer a great deal more next year.

The key whole school events taking place next week are Sports Day on Tuesday and our Sponsored Walk on Friday. Sports Day will of course in many ways be about competition. We have had assemblies this week outlining arrangements and also introducing the new House Leaders to students – and Sports Day is a great moment to reignite the House rivalries and desire to win. However, perhaps more importantly both events are about participation, and being part of something, be it the School or the House, should never be underestimated and lies at the heart of our ethos and values as a school. Both events provide opportunities for everyone to contribute and participate and that is why we celebrate them and it is so great to have them taking place this year.

Finally, a reminder that our Uniform Survey is open until 3pm on Monday 12th July and we would really appreciate as many responses as possible. We will share the outcomes with families before the end of term.
